Implementing 2D JRPG-style animation in Python using Pygame
This was an ancient post made on my old blogspot site during my days as a Computer Science undergrad. At the time, it seems to have been one of the only guides on the internet for animating spritesheets using Pygame, and as a result it generated quite a lot of traffic. However, the AI revolution has essentially ended the need for such guides, and the approach is quite outdated.
